During Easter, the city empties out and it becomes very nice to walk around these days and discover Bucharest, free from the traffic and suffocating crowds we are used to. The problem is that many places are closed this weekend, but we managed to find quite a few that are open on Saturday and even Sunday and Monday.

Specialized cafes

If you want to drink a good specialty coffee even on the first day of Easter, then you can do it in one of the most popular cafes in the city: Boiler (Piața Muncii – Engineer Slăniceanu Nicolae 1). It is also open on April 15 (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and April 16 (from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

In the Domaine area, a wonderful area for walking through the streets with beautiful houses, as well as exploring the agronomy campus, you will find an outdoor specialty cafe Oil (Alexandru Konstantinescu 43). However, it will work only on April 15, until 6 p.m.

If you prefer a stroll through Carol Park I, Baristro.place (General Candiano Popescu, 1) this is worth remembering, being right on the edge of the park. Here you can serve a very good brunch, with dishes that may surprise you, such as a beef pastrami sandwich with sauerkraut, and for dessert a pear in wine.

It looks good inside, but also has a terrace with a nice atmosphere. On April 15, it is open until 15:00.

DeSoi (Str. Piața Sf. Ștefan 8) it’s open until 4pm on Saturdays, just long enough to catch a special brunch at this spot, which has become the new must-have when it comes to going out.

The menu offers many options for an unforgettable brunch, as well as many dishes that are at the intersection of Asian and European cuisine. In addition, here you will find a very wide range of signature cocktails. It is also open on Saturday and Sunday, with the only difference being that on the first day of Easter they open from 12:00, instead of 10:00.

If you prefer Cișmigi, after touring the park and admiring how the Grand Bridge has been renovated, you can also stop free zone, where it’s also open on April 15th and 16th (maybe around midday) and you can enjoy Easter spent on the terrace with craft beer and other tasty things, but different from the traditional Easter dishes.

It should be recalled that in the district, near the Military Circle, on the street balls (Queen Elizabeth 26), is waiting for you with a classic meatball gate, but only on April 15.

The same thing happens a little higher, towards the university, but on Peremogy Street, on Bread and butter (Calea Victoriei 23)another classic breakfast spot that’s open as usual on April 15.
