It has been about twelve years since Organization Earth implemented it center of the earthphysical and intellectual purpose, with the mission of its development and dissemination Environmental social intelligence. During this time, we have tried to determine what we should do or not do in order to protect a person from himself, so that he can continue to live peacefully on Earth. And that’s because, mJust one look at the most popular search queries on the Internet proves that we are all “victims” of the immature culture we have created, in which we are daily immersed in feeling of perfect illusion what hyperconsumerism offers us – things, services, time and even emotions, as the latter are “offered” to us through a reality show.
But what makes us constantly engage in meaningless things that distance us from something else important, related to how we would like to move forward as a people and as a culture? I understand that almost all of us are tired of the fast pace and abundance of options that we have for everything. When, without doing anything, we are skillfully presented with an easy solution to the “habit” through all sorts of advertising campaigns, we stand almost defenseless before this task.
I believe that although it is not easy, it is possible to see the consequences of overconsumption. But if we bring this issue to the collective level, I think this is perhaps the most difficult transition that humanity will ever have to make. And that’s because we’ve managed to make almost everything on this planet work on the basis of economic development, which is strongly based on world population growth and overconsumption. Modern Western culture teaches us to “need” more and more on a daily basis, which directly affects our individual mental health and then extends to the health and sustainability of ecosystems across the planet. Education, therefore, in phasing out excess consumption is a small first step that will last for at least a few decades, so that at some point we can operate on the basis of a softer growth of the world economy, which will be based on more responsible consumption.
Alternative life could deal with soil and earth, nature with grounding, that is, it can create one of the strongest energy feelings in a person and become an antidote to delusional flight towards overeating. In addition, it would be extremely helpful if each of us could begin to shed our modern “junk” and hold on to the few things that can make us prosperous and happy. Because it is these “little things” that we can share – and they, as a rule, are intangible. But even if they are material, it would be good to start learning to offer and share, through a sincere effort to communicate with others – and this communication becomes necessary when we finally “reveal” our weaknesses, and not when we gloat over achievements. or our possessions.
We certainly have a long way to go, but at some point we have to start all over again. Unfortunately, we have no more excuses. This is n “feeling of perfect illusion” what we ourselves have created, we are the only ones who can reveal it and finally dissolve it.
