The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmytro Medvedev, assured on Saturday that the current Ukrainian state is of no interest to anyone in Russia, Europe, the USA, Latin America, Asia and Africa, so Ukraine’s days are numbered.

According to the former Russian president (2008-2012), the neighboring country has turned into a “misunderstanding” born after the collapse of the Soviet Union, reports the EFE agency, citing Agerpres.

“Millions of our compatriots live here and have been oppressed by the Nazi regime in Kyiv for years,” Medvedev said on the VKontakte social network.

He added that the special military operation launched in February 2022 – as Russia calls its invasion of Ukraine – aims to protect these citizens.

As for the Ukrainians themselves, according to Medvedev, slightly more than 20 million of Ukraine’s original population of 45 million are still in the country and “forced to live in constant anxiety and fear.”

“No one on the planet needs Ukraine like this. That’s why he won’t be there,” he concluded.
