Traffic was closed on some sections of roads in Suceava and Botosani counties on Friday morning, while four other sections of national roads in Botosani were restricted to vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons, the Road Information Center reported. All district and national roads are open again in the counties of Neamts and Iasi.

Roads are closed in Botosani and Suceava

Due to adverse weather conditions, according to the Road Information Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, road traffic remains closed on the following sections of national roads:

  • DN 2 Romanesht – Siret, Suceava county;
  • DN 2K Arbore – Milišauci, Suceava county;
  • DN 17A Rădăuți – Bălcăuţi, Suceava County;
  • DN 29 Botosani – Seveni, Botosani county.

Also, 4 state roads with a tonnage limit for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons remain closed, respectively:

  • DN 24C Ștefănești – Manoleasa, Botosani County;
  • DN 29 Manoleasa – Săveni, Botosani County;
  • DN 29C Cucorani – Mihăileni, Botosani County;
  • DN 29E Stanca – customs office Stanca, Botosani county.

Traffic has been restored on all national and district roads in Niamka, the district police inspectorate said on Friday, according to Agerpres.

According to the cited source, all tonnage restrictions have also been lifted.

Traffic on several national roads in Botosani, Germany, Iasi and Suceava counties was closed or restricted on Thursday evening due to snow on the road and reduced visibility.

However, the traffic police recommends that drivers be careful and adapt their speed to the road conditions, as a pillar is visible in some areas.
