1. What are the global trends in investment banking?
Oleksandr Pintilier: The investment banking sector in particular, as well as the IT sector in general, are constantly changing, the dynamics are accelerating.
Some of the current trends in the banking industry that we are also focusing on at Luxoft include digital transformation, mobile banking, automation, artificial intelligence and cyber security to provide a better end customer experience in a highly competitive market.
Red Kosmin: Increasing competition in the financial and banking sector is being accelerated by the diversified offerings of fintech companies, which are putting additional pressure on traditional banks to adapt, modernize and diversify their offerings. Increased consolidation in banking as a result of mergers and acquisitions will bring new opportunities for development in the field of technology and IT services. At Luxoft, we are aware of all these changes and trends, we are constantly adapting, we are flexible, ready to find solutions and meet our customers.

2. What does innovation look like at Luxoft?
-R: Luxoft is the design, analytics and development division of DXC Technology, providing end-to-end solutions and mission-critical expertise. Our company is a reliable partner that banks and financial institutions turn to when they need to scale or accelerate complex projects or programs, constantly creating innovative packages of IT products and services that meet the needs of our customers.
AND?: We have experience in a wide range of modern technologies, which allows us to improve existing products according to market trends. We build and integrate high-performing dedicated teams that enable us to deliver value and quality to our clients. Also, at Luxoft we are constantly improving internal processes such as recruiting, training, communication and administrative processes; the development of professional communities, organized by profession, promotes quick access of employees to information.
3. What does Luxoft offer employees in this area?

LuxGood – is the way in which the company unites employees, promoting a healthy lifestyle, inspiring activities for the well-being and morale of employees, achieving the desired balance between career and personal life; for example, at Luxoft we have implemented a discount program, according to which national holidays falling on a weekend are compensated by the weekend of the following or previous week.
In 2022, Luxoft Romania was certified by the Great Place to Work organization, which means that Luxoft has a supportive work environment where employees are proud of what they do and enjoy the colleagues they work with. 4. Are there career development plans at Luxoft?
-R: Luxoft offers a variety of training and professional development opportunities for employees, including corporate training programs, online courses, professional tests, professional communities organized by specialization, conferences, a buddy program and internal training programs. We also encourage and support our employees to obtain industry certifications. Internal mobility is a tool with which we build the careers of our employees at Luxoft, offering them opportunities for professional development and job security. This is the process of horizontal or vertical transition from the current position to another, to another project, department or place in the company. In this sense, depending on market trends and/or the desire of our colleagues to change their professional path, the company also offers training or retraining programs, giving colleagues the opportunity to change their professional path or within the framework of a single project. or in other company projects.
AND?: The management team, in cooperation with colleagues from HR Business Partners, actively participates both in the process of adaptation of new employees and during annual evaluation cycles; their experience is important for communicating internal processes and tools, for building professional development plans, mediation, teaching soft communication skills and motivating colleagues at Luxoft. By creating well-trained teams, we are ready to meet customer requirements and respond promptly to new business opportunities.
5. Is there interest in the Google Cloud area? If so, how many people have been certified in the last year/last three years/what is the average over the last years?
AND?: There is an increased interest in the cloud space, especially Google Cloud, which is a popular choice for companies looking for cloud computing solutions, and we encourage all colleagues in our area to participate in training and certification.
Google Cloud and cloud technologies in general are increasingly being used in our projects and those of our clients; at the company level, over the past three years we have had 216 participants involved in GCP trainings and 107 employees have been certified. In Romania, 53 colleagues participated, 28 of them received a certificate. I can also say that this year 42 new participants have been recruited to the Google Cloud Academy. Given the market trend to move to the cloud as much as possible, we support our training and certification programs in this technology.
6. How many new people have Luxoft hired on your projects in the last year?
-R: I would like to start by saying that the recruitment process at Luxoft is constantly being improved and adapted to the needs of the market. Luxoft has the experience and ability to scale and accelerate growth by mobilizing experts with the skills and seniority that clients need.
Last year, in the BCM (Banking and Capital Markets) LOB, we grew globally at Luxoft to over 700 employees, representing growth of 12%. We work closely with the IT center of excellence of one of the largest investment banks in the world, and over the past year we have managed to hire more than 200 new colleagues, opening new positions every month and thus forming more effective teams in the client’s areas of activity.
Another area we focused on last year was the retention and motivation of existing employees. As a result, at the BCM level, the percentage of colleagues who decided to leave the company (attrition) decreased by 8% over the past year. Customer demand remains strong, Luxoft management is committed to continuing to invest in this area, and we expect this growth trend to continue in the coming years.
7. What is the latest feedback received from a client?
-R: At Luxoft, everything starts with our customers and we focus on achieving their goals using what sets us apart: valuable people, flexibility, extensive experience, mature processes and modern technology. The business relationships we have with our clients are built on a partnership based on trust, transparency and total commitment.
AND?: In addition to the close relationship we have with our clients’ management, we encourage a constant exchange of feedback within the projects in which we are actively involved; it helps us as a company and our employees to continuously improve. As a specific example, being currently in the annual evaluation process, I can tell you that a significant percentage of the team received evaluations that exceeded expectations. Given the large number of new colleagues in the IT teams of the client’s Investment Banking IT Center of Excellence and the fact that we currently represent around 20% of its IT force, we position ourselves as a strategic partner that can support accelerated growth with the same growth perspective for the current year. We have successfully delivered on our promise to our clients by providing the expertise they need to become industry leaders.
