
New prequel to “Game of Thrones”is discussed on the American television channel HBO, we will talk about Aegon Targaryen, the conqueror of Westeros.
According to a Variety exclusive, the project is in its early stages with no writer announced, though sources say HBO is investigating as they want the series to move forward.
The same sources also say that there is a possibility that a feature film will be made first, which will then lead to a TV series. However, nothing is known yet.
The prequel will follow Aegon and his sister wives Visenia and Rhaenys and how they used an army and three dragons to conquer six of the seven kingdoms of Westeros. Thus, Aegon I became the first king of Westeros to sit on the Iron Throne, and the founder of the Targaryen dynasty. The events that the series will present took place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
The HBO network did not comment on the above news.
Following the global success of Game of Thrones, the network developed a number of series set in the world created by George R.R. Martin.
