In contrast, “Bragg was skillful and pragmatic,” praised former prosecutor Bennett Gershman, hailing the “aggressive investigation” against the 45th US president.

In addition, in January, Attorney General Bragg was able to fine the Trump Organization $1.6 million for fraud. The group’s former CFO, Allen Weisselberg, cooperated with the New York justice system and was sentenced to five months in prison and fined two million dollars.

Donald Trump was not prosecuted in the case, but regularly called Bragg a “racist” and a “leftist.”

In the Stormy Daniels case, the former president on Saturday accused the prosecutor of being “corrupt and highly politicized.”
