“It is difficult for me to talk about the case,” the mother of the 1st defendant testified, noting that her mental health deteriorated after the incident. “I begged him to tell me the truth. Crying, he told me: “Mom, I didn’t beat him.” If he had hit him, I would not have stood in front of you,” she said, addressing the court.

“I want to offer a big apology that my son was there,” said the mother of the fourth defendant. “He held a torch (…) he didn’t see anything because he left,” she testified, among other things, about the involvement of her accused son, who, after the bloody attack, left for his homeland, in Albania. to finally surrender to the Greek prosecutor’s offices after 24 hours.

A third witness, the mother of the 11th defendant, expressed her devastation at the murder incident, which she said “detonated like a bomb in our house.” “I couldn’t imagine my child would be so involved,” she said, noting that her son, based on what she told her, “held a stick and attacked his friend Alki.”
