The annual visitor survey published by The Art Newspaper has been published, providing information on the attendance and popularity of museums on a global scale. Louvre Museum to become the traffic leader again in 2022.

In the list of the 100 most popular museums in the world, we also find Acropolis Museumthe only Greek museum in the top 100. In particular, according to research by Artnewspaper, the Acropolis Museum is located in 27th place with 1,451,727 visitors, indicating a significant increase in traffic compared to 2021, which had 547,910 visitors and was in 46th place. It is noted that in 2020 the museum was in 66th place, losing 82% of visitors.
