
Romania’s Under-19 team secured their first win at the Elite tournament in France on Saturday, beating Northern Ireland 3-1.

The Little Tricolors took advantage of the extra man advantage after Northern Ireland were reduced to ten men from the 34th minute and scored with two regulars from the Constanta Lighthouse side.
In the 43rd minute, left defender Andriy Borza opened the scoring, and in the 75th minute, he scored a double.
Entering the field in the second half, striker Adrian Mazilu closed the score in the last minute of the game.

Romania is in Group 1 of the elite tournament, the final stage of qualification before the European Championship, along with Norway, France and Northern Ireland.
In the first game, the tricolors were decisively defeated by Norway with a score of 4:0. Only the first team from each group advances to the final tournament.
