The Expert Committee of the Ministry of Health recommended the cancellation of all measures against coronavirus.
According to K, the lifting of the measures concerns the mandatory wearing of a mask in public transport and express testing of the unvaccinated in the private sector.
Minister of Health Thanos Pleuris, in connection with today’s meeting of the Committee of Experts, said:
“At today’s meeting of the Expert Commission, the Ministry of Health proposed to cancel the current measures against Covid-19, with the exception of public and private medical institutions and departments for the care of the elderly. The proposal was accepted by the Commission and the measures are expected to be lifted.
However, there remains a need to protect vulnerable groups from Covid-19, and for this reason it is recommended to observe personal protective measures, vaccinate in a timely manner and receive antiviral treatment for those who are ill.
