Foreign Minister Bohdan Aurescu says he is not interested in the opinion of Rares Bohdan, MEP and first vice-president of the PNL, who has declared that he will no longer keep him in office along with several other ministers, including the PSD.
“Practically, these kinds of attacks by such characters are actually confirmation that they are good at what they do – it’s exactly the same as when I’m attacked by Sputnik,” Aurescu argued.
“I am not interested in the opinion of Raresh Bohdan – I will remind you how, at the height of Russia’s war against Ukraine, he demanded to block Ukrainian grain at the border. In principle, such attacks by such characters are actually a confirmation that they are doing everything well – it’s like when “Satellite” attacks me. He probably has a lot of personal failures and disappointments,” Bohdan Aurescu told digi24.ro.
The member of the European Parliament from the NLP, Raresh Bohdan, said, referring to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bohdan Aureska, that it was not he or the NLP who decided that he should take the post of head of diplomacy in Romania, but the state. Bohdan added that over time, Romania had exceptional ministers of foreign affairs. The liberal MEP also announced that he would replace several ministers.
When asked whether he would have kept Bohdan Aureska in his position if he had been his direct boss, the MEP answered in the negative.
“Me? no I would fire a few more ministers. Many… and from the PSD. I don’t want a scandal with Aurescu or others. I think I would call him (Aurescu-№) to ask what he is up to. I would ask Petre Dea, whom I like, to be a kind of boss at the fairs. I like him like a grandfather, but he doesn’t solve problems,” said Raresh Bohdan. (news.ro)
