After 24 hours strike announced by GSEE for Thursday (March 16), which will be attended by Panhellenic Maritime Federation (PNO)as decided at today’s meeting.

“The leadership of the Panhellenic Maritime Federation at its today’s meeting unanimously decided on the participation of our Federation in the 24-hour general strike in connection with the tragedy in Tempi, the decision on which was unanimously adopted on 03.12.2023 by representatives of the 38th GSEE Conference, which starts at 00:00: 01 16-03-2023, Thursday, and ends at 24:00 on the same day.

Our Federation reiterates and emphasizes its firm and stable position with regard to the safety of maritime transport and the protection of human life at sea, demanding the repeal and amendment of Law 4150/2013 in relation to special – reduced organic compounds and the need for a new legislative framework responsible the current real needs of ships and navigation in order to fully ensure humane working conditions and, above all, the safety of ships, passengers and crew.
