From the Anti-Trafficking Unit of the Sub-Directorate of Organized Crime and Human Trafficking of the Attica Security Directorate, 16 people were arrested on Monday afternoon (6/3) for – as the case may be – violating seals established by the Directorate. and the Law on Persons Given for Remuneration.
In particular, as part of the identification of victims of human trafficking, inspections were carried out in eight brothels in the center of Athens, which were repeatedly sealed by the competent municipal authority.
Arrested persons against whom proceedings have been initiated will be taken to the competent prosecutor’s office, and the competent municipal authority will also be informed about the re-sealing of brothels.
