Details of yet another victim of the Tempe train tragedy are being established.

This is Mohammad-Andriz Mia, 33, from Bangladesh, who was on the fateful IC-62 train from Athens to Thessaloniki, a lawyer for the unfortunate immigrant’s family confirmed to APE-MPE.

His data could not be established, which was done just a few hours ago.

According to lawyer Tanasis Hatsakos, a DNA sample from a 33-year-old man was taken from a toothbrush in his home and identified with biological material collected from the accident site.

According to Mr. Hatsakos, Mohammad-Andriz Mia worked as a merchant in Greece and moved to Athens for the needs of his job.

His disappearance was reported to the police by a friend (of the same nationality) who knew about the trip.

The case is pending before the investigator.

The advanced training in the case of the tragic incident in Tempi was initiated by the head of the Larissa Prosecutor’s Office of Appeal, Stamatis Daskalopoulos, who was appointed by the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court responsible for overseeing all investigations.

After apologizing and temporarily arresting the head of the station, whose fatal and criminal mistakes played a decisive role in the tragedy, Mr. Daskalopoulos, in his letter, in connection with the seriousness of the case, requested that a plenum of the Larissa Court of Appeal be immediately convened to appoint an appellant – an investigation is underway into the fact of an unheard-of tragedy .

The investigation, which by the upcoming decision of the Appeal Plenum will be entrusted to a higher court, will move in all directions to bring to criminal responsibility, except for the responsibility of the head of the station, officials of the UGE, the inspector of the traffic police and other persons, will be checked as an inexperienced head of the station with almost zero the experience turned out to be at the nervous post of Larisa and in fact during the three days of Clean Monday, when train traffic was increased.

At the same time, and in connection with a letter from Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, a separate investigation was appointed to the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Isidoros Dogiakos, in the case of the delay in the implementation of railway modernization projects. networks with contract control, why they were not fulfilled, how much money was spent, why the deadlines were not met and who is responsible for all this. The investigation was entrusted to the financial prosecutor’s office.

In his letter, the Prime Minister asked to raise the level of investigation in Larisa to the highest possible investigative level and to conduct an in-depth investigation into the delay of projects by justice until the completion of the investigation of a special expert commission, which, according to him, will be submitted to the court.

Urgent certificate of sick leave to the head of the station
