World number one Novak Djokovic, Andriy Rublev and Daniil Medvedev easily passed the round of 16 of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai and are preparing for the quarterfinals.

Djokovic – Gurkach, a tough duel in the quarters

The tournament’s No. 1 favorite Novak Djokovic eased past Dutchman Tallon Grikspoor in the round of 16 with a score of 6-2, 6-3.

The winner in Doha a week ago, Daniil Medvedev (7 ATP) defeated Kazakhstan’s Oleksandr Bublyk (46 ATP) after three sets, 6-4, 6-2.

And Hubert Gurkach, who recently triumphed at the ATP in Marseille, defeated Pavel Kotov, ranked 138 in the ATP, 7-5, 6-1 and will face the world number one in the quarters.

Fourth-seeded Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime missed the quarterfinals after losing to Lorenzo Sonego, 7-6(4), 6-4.

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships will take place from February 27 to March 4 on hard, is in the ATP 500 category and has a total prize fund of $2,855,495. Titled champion – Andriy Rublev (2022).
