Almost 47 percent of Romanians say they would definitely go to the polls if parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, while about 21 percent say they definitely wouldn’t vote, according to a poll by INSCOP Research. Among those who would definitely vote, 31.7 percent would choose candidates from the PSD, 22.3 percent from the PNL, and 18.2 percent would prefer the AUR.

The national opinion poll was conducted by INSCOP Research on behalf of PNL from February 5 to 19.

To the question “If there were parliamentary elections next Sunday, how sure are you that you would vote?” (% of the total sample)”, 46.7% answered “Definitely yes (10), and 20.7% answered “Definitely no (1).

At the same time, to the question “If parliamentary elections were held next Sunday and such political parties would take part in them, which candidates would you vote for?” (total % of those who voted for their voting option and gave 10 points to the question about participation in voting – 36% of the population), the answers were as follows: 31.7% – PSD, 22.3% – PNL, 18.2% – AUR, 11.2% – USR, 4.6% – UDMR, 2.9% – PMP, 2.4% – Pro Romania, 1.5% – SOS Romania Party, 1.4% – Green Party and 3, 9% – other parties.

Data were collected through telephone interviews, the volume of a simple random sample was 3000 people, representative of significant socio-demographic categories (gender, age, profession) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania aged 18 and over.

The maximum allowable data error is ±1.79% at a confidence level of 95%.
