The shops in Varvakeio Agora and the consumer market in Rentis will be traditionally open from tonight until tomorrow to provide fast food to consumers.

Meanwhile, public markets will also operate as normal tomorrow, Clean Monday, and as explained in a statement by the General Secretariat for Commerce and Consumer Protection, food stores (grocery stores, fishmongers, etc.) will operate during normal mode.

“We are keeping prices low throughout Greece so that all Greeks buy at the same prices or even lower than last year for the Lenten table,” Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis said during his visit to Varvakeio Agora yesterday.

This is a traditional lagana,” he added.

As a reminder, shops in Varvakeyo will be open from 21:00 tonight until noon on Clean Monday. Accordingly, from today until tomorrow, the shops at the Consumer Market in Rentis are also open.
