French McDonald’s is going to offer its customers – starting March 7, for “three to four weeks” – fried carrots, parsnips and beets instead of French fries, reports Le Figaro.
The changes, also revealed by Le Parisien, will be promoted through a campaign.
Approximately 1,500 tons of carrots, 1,000 tons of beets and 700 tons of parsnips are to be delivered to approximately 1,500 McDo restaurants in France, a total of over 3,000 tons of gum.
These vegetables were selected in October in Haut-de-France.
It is currently a “temporary replacement during this special campaign” for consumer testing.
The operation will last “three to four weeks” and “everything will depend on consumption.”
The purpose of the fast food brand is to respond to “new consumption needs” and consumers’ desire to “diversify their diet.” (News.ro)
