A 22-year-old foreigner was arrested on Tuesday evening in Nice by the OPKE police of the Attica Security Directorate, who was awaiting a conviction for theft with a general sentence of 2 years in prison.

The 22-year-old man was brought to the Piraeus Security Directorate as members of the police of the above service, in cooperation with the police of the security departments of the Municipal Theater and Nice – Ag. I. Renty investigated his actions in cases of burglaries and thefts that took place in their areas of responsibility.

In particular, after a comprehensive assessment of information data and evidence, police officers identified a 22-year-old man as guilty of 16 cases of burglaries and thefts in various stores, as well as two bicycle thefts, mainly in the Piraeus, Nicaea and Egaleo regions.

The above, since September 2022, has been accused of burglary and theft in clothes, shoes, coffee shops, pharmacies, restaurants, bookstores, wineries and gambling establishments, having previously broken the glass of the above shops with a stone, taking out cash and electronic devices from inside.

The arrested person was brought before the competent prosecutor’s office and the case filed against him was also transferred to the prosecutor’s office of first instance in Piraeus.
