Pispirigo trial: 34-year-old man’s lawyer files lawsuit against Manos Daskalakis

The testimony of Georgina’s father, Manos Daskalakis, was commented in the Mixed Jury Trial (MOD) by Rula Pispirigo’s lawyer Alexis Kougias, stating that M. Daskalakis gave false evidence. “I am handing you a document that is in the nature of a lawsuit,” he said characteristically.

Mr Kougias, after characterizing Manos Daskalakis as “a completely unreliable person”, told the court that the witness who had characterized him as “insignificant” since the beginning of the trial, as having been absent from critical events, gave different testimonies “depending on the period and circumstances, when which it was considered.

According to the 34-year-old woman’s lawyer, Mr. Daskalakis’ testimony and the witness’s version of “revenge” that was the motive behind Georgina’s mother’s murder prove that the father is lying and inaccurate in an attempt to support the prosecution: “I am presenting a document that is in the nature of a judicial process,” Mr. Kougias said, adding that Mr. Daskalakis had made a “false statement”.

Among other things, Mr. Kougias said that the witness was questioning the conclusions of the child psychologist who was called by Anakritria to interpret Georgina’s drawings.

The said expert met both the child’s mother and Mr Daskalakis and included the psychological characteristics of both parents in the reports which she submitted to the bailiff.

According to a particular expert, the defendant was obsessed with her then-husband, and the judiciary is of this view. According to Mr. Kougia, since Mr. Daskalakis stated in court that he accepts the will in full, but asks the child psychologist questions, then he is lying. “He accepted the will and his statement is false,” K. Kougias stressed to the judges, who stated that Manos Daskalakis, in his memorandum, claims that the psychologist’s conclusion is “false”.

“His statement that he accepts the will as a whole, which is based on Ms. Savvoglu’s report and ascribes a motive to the accused, is false,” Mr. Kougias explained.

The process continues.
