In Dimini, Volos, a 73-year-old man tragically died.

An elderly man went to his field to clean up and burn branches and crop residues in a fenced area when, according to ERT, he felt unwell, fell to the ground and lost consciousness. In this state, the man caught fire and burned alive.

By the time the fire brigade arrived on the scene, along with an EKAB ambulance, it was already too late and the 73-year-old man was found burned, according to the state channel.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the tragic death of a 73-year-old man.
