A woodworking workshop and two houses in Vovousa, Zagori municipality, were completely destroyed by a fire that broke out at noon for an unknown reason.
According to information, the fire broke out at a sawmill that processes tree trunks and quickly grew large due to combustible materials, and also spread to two houses in a mountain village that are not inhabited in the winter season. .
The tavern owner and the villagers tried and managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other houses until the fire brigade from the Miliotades Fire Station and the Metsovo Fire Station arrived.
A total of 16 firefighters with eight vehicles attempted to bring the fire under control in the afternoon.
