A tourist from Elevetia got lost in the Bucheci Mountains on Friday and walked for hours in knee-deep snow before being found by mountain rescuers, News.ro reports.
“Today in Buchegi, a 48-year-old woman from Switzerland got lost and walked through the forest for hours without finding a way out,” said Salvamont Busteni on Friday evening.
The quoted source clarified that the tourist left the Gura Diham cab to Poyana Izvoare and from there to Pichetul Rosh.
“Somewhere he lost a tourist marker and after several hours of walking in knee-deep snow, he reached physical exhaustion. Only then did he get scared and call for help,” the mountain rescuers said.
Mountain rescuers from Bushteni and Prahov found her near Diham hut.
The victim quickly recovered, was taken to the access road and transported further into the city.
