The very low temperatures that prevail in Florina are the main feature of the region’s weather.

In the city of Florina, the thermometer showed -9 degrees Celsius, while in many areas it reached -15 in the evening and early morning hours.

At the same time, in the area of ​​Petra Amyntaios, you can see a beautiful picture with a heart-shaped lake frozen over due to the very low temperatures prevailing in this area these days.

The ice that has accumulated over the water of the lake, combined with the snow-covered mountainous parts of the area and the archaeological site, gives a special and characteristic beauty to the vast area, attracting a large number of visitors.
