
Police from Galati arrested an 18-year-old man after he was caught selling drugs from a makeshift counter in a building located in the city’s central district, Agerpres reports.
The Police Brigades against Organized Crime of Galaţi – Anti-Narcotics Service, together with the prosecutors of DIICOT – Territorial Service of Galaţi, arrested a young man suspected of selling dangerous drugs and dealing with psychoactive substances.
The anti-narcotics police officers and prosecutors of the DIICOP conducted an operational action aimed at countering the illegal circulation of high-danger narcotics and operations with psychoactive substances.
As part of this action, an 18-year-old young man from the municipality of Galati was caught red-handed selling such substances to interested persons from an improvised counter in a building located in the central part of his hometown.
After the blatant crime was committed, three searches were conducted in the municipality of Galati, both at the residence of an 18-year-old boy and at the home of another 20-year-old boy, suspected of complicity.
As a result of these searches, 5,000 lei were identified and collected to continue the investigation of suspected criminals.
The 18-year-old youth was detained for 24 hours in order to be transferred to the Galati court with a proposal for preventive arrest.
