The bad weather also caused traffic problems, mainly in the mountainous areas of Chania. In the region of Sfakia, the village of Asfendou is blocked, while problems, which are gradually being restored, exist on the road network from Askifu to Imbro.

Since early morning, the vehicles have been working on the road network up to Omalos, on the Seliniotiko roundabout, as well as on sections of the road network from Sembrona to Petra Seli. The authorities are urging drivers to avoid unnecessary movements, and all vehicles that travel primarily in the mountain network must be equipped with anti-skid chains.

In the regional division of Chania today, Tuesday, the following schools are closed: Keramion Primary School and Kindergarten, as well as Elous Primary School and Kindergarten and EPAL in Kissamos. The municipality of Apokorono does not operate school divisions at all levels of education. All schools in the municipality of Sfakia and in the municipality of Kantanou Selino remain closed. In the municipality of Platanias, Skene and Fourne primary schools do not operate.
