The governor of North Ossetia, Serhii Menyailo, was attacked by the Ukrainian military in the Zaporizhzhia region when he was visiting “positions of volunteer units and mobilized fighters of the republic”, the Russian news agency TASS claims, reports Meduza.
The camera crew of the First Channel and TASS journalist Nizami Hajibalaev were with the Russian official who arrived in the conflict zone.
“Upon arrival, Serhii Menyailo, together with correspondents and fighters of the republic, hid in a nearby hut, which was slightly damaged. There were no victims or victims,” TASS reports.
Menyailo noted that this is a “normal situation on the territory of hostilities”.
In July 2022, the mass media reported that on the front line in the Zaporizhzhia region, a convoy of cars in which Serhii Menyailo was was ambushed by a sabotage and intelligence group.
Then Menyailo said that no one had seen any subversive group and that they were “bombing” every day.
