“Star Factory” captured by the Hubble telescope

NASA has released a stunning new image of the Tarantula Nebula (also known as 30 Golden Dorado). space telescope Hubble.

The Tarantula Nebula is a large star-forming region of ionized hydrogen located 161,000 light-years from Earth in the Large Magellanic Cloud.

In addition, the Tarantula Nebula is the brightest star forming region in our galactic neighborhood. To date, the hottest and most massive stars are known.

This is a spectacular region of space where clouds of gas and dust swirl around newborn stars.

NASA is studying this “star factory” to better understand how stars form and grow.

In addition to Hubble, the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope explored the region a few months ago, finding thousands of young stars we’ve never seen before.

The Tarantula Nebula is about a thousand light-years across and is so named because scientists observing it thought its shape, and especially its brightest regions, reminded them of the shape of the most famous spider species.
