In particular, out of 47 Greek-themed books written in English in 2022 and submitted to the jury of the Anglo-Greek League (which awards the Runciman Prize every year), 24 titles covering Greek have been selected for the first stage of Competition Culture since Antiquity. to the present day. The jury was chaired by Professor Peter Frankopan.

The shortlist will be announced in due course and the winner of the £10,000 Runciman Prize will receive it at a ceremony on 19 June in London.
