Bencic, Badosa, Kasatkina and Kudermetova in WTA Adelaide 2 quarters

Belinda Bencic (Olympic champion and No. 8 seed) beat Anna Kalinska in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. The game lasted one hour and 31 minutes.

Veronika Kudermetova (sixth seed) passed the qualification quarterfinals without playing: Kateryna Aleksandrova announced her withdrawal before the start of the match.

Beatrice Haddad Maia (11th seed) defeated Amanda Anisimov (a former student of Darren Cahill) in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5. The game lasted almost two hours.

The Iberian Paula Badosa (ninth favorite) also had a good day: she defeated the experienced Kaya Kanepi with a score of 6-1, 7-5. The match lasted an hour and 24 minutes.

Finally, Daria Kasatkina (5th seed) beat Barbora Krejcikova (Grand Slam winner – Roland Garros 2021) in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5. The game lasted one hour and 32 minutes.
