The boy is now in the intensive care unit under the constant supervision of doctors, said Dr. Solange Tamara Roche, spokesperson for the “Santa Maria” Children’s Hospital in Iasi.

“During the intervention, osteosynthesis of the left tibia was performed and the left calf was reimplanted. He also underwent a splenectomy. Vital signs and plasmapheresis were maintained and performed by the ATI team,” explained Dr. Solange Tamara Rosu.
