
The organizers of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year, have announced the schedule for Tuesday, January 17, with Romanians Sorana Kirstia, Patricia Sieg and Iryna Begu taking the stage, as well as many of the competition’s favorites in Melbourne.

On court 16 a match between Sorana Kirstea (42 WTA) and Yulia Putintseva (47 WTA).
The match will be the third in this arena after Diane Parry – Taylor Townsend and Alejandro Davydovich Fokin – Oleksandr Bublyk. The match could start after some time time 05:30 (Romanian time).
Kirstya and Putintseva met five more times: our athlete won in Majorca-2016 and Nuremberg-2017, and the Kazakh won in Kontreksvil-2015, Istanbul-2018 and Nuremberg-2019.
Patricia Maria Sig (790 WTA – protected rating) will meet on Shuai Zhang (24 WTA, favorite 23) in the third match on Court 14. This will be the first match between the two players.
In the first matches in this arena, Zizu Bergs – Laszlo Jere and Ben Shelton – Zhizhen Zhang will meet, and Patricia’s match may start after the time is 06:00 (Romanian time).
