Babes-Boyya University’s decision on the plagiarism of Lucian Bode’s doctoral thesis silenced liberals who did not express their opinion on the matter. All the more so to demand the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs.

With one exception, MP Dan Vilcanu, who was succeeded by Lucian Bode as PNL Secretary General.

In addition, Vilcanu also demands the resignation of Nicolae Chuke, also accused of plagiarizing his doctoral thesis, recalling that there were two cases when ministers left the government due to similar scandals in the press. Although he does not nominate candidates, he refers to Florin Roman and Sorin Kimpeanu, former ministers of digitalization and education.

“Two fellow party members resigned as ministers after the media published allegations of plagiarism in order not to harm the party. On the other hand, there are also colleagues who cling to their positions regardless of the damage they do to PNL. Obviously, I mean Nicolae Chuke and Lucian Bode. I have been accused of plagiarism for over a year. They had enough time to do all the necessary explanatory actions. Today, the official position of UBB regarding Mr. Bode appeared. I think it’s time for Mr. Bode and Mr. Chuke to think about the party and resign,” Vilčanu wrote on Facebook.

He recalls that he resigned from the government where he was Minister of European Funds because of the flattery of Florin Citsu, explaining that he decided not to stir up a scandal that would seriously affect the PNL.

  • Lucian Bode is not resigning after the plagiarism ruling: I will go forward, to court, because it is the only right way. It’s a pity that UBB succumbed to some pressure / Government’s reaction
