The High Priestly Divine Liturgy for Theophany was celebrated at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Piraeus and immediately after the blessing of the waters and the Immersion of the Holy Cross from the port of Piraeus in the presence of Archbishop Jerome and Metropolitan Seraphim and in the presence of the leader of the Official Opposition Alexis Tsipras.

Epiphany is the main annual Christian holiday of the Baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River by St. John the Baptist. It is celebrated on January 6 and is the third and last holiday of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
