The General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest indicates that the 19th Police Department received a call from a woman at 112 that her son had been kidnapped by unknown persons, having obtained his image from his phone, tied to his arm and leg, demanding 1,500 euros to release him and not cause him any bodily harm.

The report was received by police officers of the Criminal Investigation Sector 5, who established the address of the alleged crime.

After reviewing the evidence, it emerged that the appellant’s son had staged his abduction by asking a friend to tie him up by the hands and feet, then film and demand 1,500 euros from his mother in exchange for his release, police said. .

In the case, the two men were remanded in custody on the grounds of blackmail, respectively incitement to blackmail, and they will be brought to court.
