At least 14 people, including ten guards, were killed Sunday in an armed attack on a prison in Ciudad Juarez, on the border with the United States, during which at least 24 inmates escaped, AFP reported.

Four people were also injured in the attack, according to information provided in a statement by the Chihuahua State Prosecutor’s Office.

The attack took place on Sunday morning when gunmen arrived in armored vehicles and opened fire on the security guards.
