Depeche Mode, Deep Purple, Robbie Williams, Sam Smith, Iggy Pop, Porcupine Tree, The Hollywood Vampires, Pantera, Bruce Dickinson, Boney M, Eros Ramazzotti are some of the biggest names in world music that will perform in Romania this year.

The extraordinary New Year’s concert “Musical Journey in Venice”, a gala event that is held for the 9th time, will take place at the Romanian Athenaeum on January 4 at 7:00 p.m.

The band Timpuri Noi will play on January 6 from 21:30 at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Direction 5 return to H Brewery on January 10th and perform at Hard Rock Cafe on January 27th.

Alternosfera returns on January 19 in Bucharest, at the Hard Rock Cafe. The concert will start at 21.00.

Lords of the Sound will play a show with the new program “The Music of Hans Zimmer” on January 25 from 20:00 at Sala Palatului in Bucharest. Songs from the movies: Dune, Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Gravity, Sherlock Holmes, Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Pearl Harbor , “Gladiator”, “Mission Impossible”, “Inception”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Ghost”, “Wonder Woman” or “Madagascar”.

Boney M. with soloist Liz Mitchell will perform at Sala Palatului in Bucharest on February 25 under the auspices of “Doisco Icons”.

Maestro André Rieux will take the BT-Arena stage in Cluj-Napoca on March 1, 2, 3 and 4. The four performances will be among the grandest shows organized this year in Romania.

The respected trumpeter Avishai Cohen will hold a new concert this year in Romania, at the Rapsodia Hall in Bucharest, on March 6. Together with him, Yonatan Avishai (piano), Barak Mori (double bass), Ziz Ravitz (drums) will perform on stage.

The Queen Rock Opera show will take place on March 7, 2023 at Palatului Hall in Bucharest. “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Somebody to love”, “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t stop me now”, “Another One Bites the dust”, “Under Pressure”, “I Want to break free”, “Radio “Gaga” or “The show must go on” are some of Queen’s songs that will be performed in the two-hour show.

Marisa, the star of fado music, returns to Romania on March 8 at Sala Palatului.

The Canadian-American band Palaye Royale performs in Romania for the first time on March 8 at the Romanian Arenas in Bucharest (heated tent).

The show “Bruce Dickinson – The Music of Jon Lord & Deep Purple” is scheduled for March 15 at Sala Palatului. Along with Iron Maiden soloists will be: Tanya O’Callaghan – bass, John O’Hara (Jethro Tull) – keyboards/hammond, Keitner Z Doka (John Lord, Ian Pace) – guitar, Bernhard Welz (John Lord, Don Airy) – drums, with Paul Mann (Deep Purple, John Lord) – conductor, plus full symphony orchestra, Bucharest Film Orchestra (80 people).

British Mike Rosenberg, known under the pseudonym Passenger, will perform on April 9 at the Romanian arena in Bucharest.

Eros Ramazotti will sing on April 23, 2023 at Sala Palatului in Bucharest. The event is part of a tour to promote his upcoming album Battito Infinito.

The band WASP – bassist Mike Duda, guitarist Doug Blair and drummer Aquiles Priester, bandleader Blackie Lawless – will perform on May 17 at the Roman Arena.

The Irish dance troupe Lord of the Dance returns to the Palace Hall stage on May 20 with the anniversary show “25 Years of Ovation”. The event is timed to the 25th anniversary of the world tour.

Pantera will headline Romexpo during the Metalhead Meeting on May 27.

Alternosfera, Trooper, OCS, ZOB and Stema will perform on May 27 at Roman Arenas as part of the second Out of Office Fest.

Robbie Williams and Sam Smith headline the Summer in the City Festival, which will take place on Constitution Square on June 3 and 4. Among others, Editors, LP, Calum Scott or Abby Roberts will take the stage.

The Hollywood Vampires, the group formed by Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, Tommy Henriksen, returns to Bucharest on June 8 at Romexpo.

The third SAGA festival will take place in Bucharest from June 23 to 25 at Romaero.

Neversea Festival 2023 will take place from July 6 to 9 at Neversea Beach in Constanta.

The Italian artist Zucchero will give a concert on July 6 in Sala Palatului and July 8 in Cluj-Napoca.

The famous British band Deep Purple has planned a concert at Romexpo on July 9. One of the most influential bands in the music industry, Deep Purple has left its mark on generations of artists.

Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi is scheduled for July 18-23.

Electric Castle is an edition organized from the 19th to the 23rd of July, where the public will be present at the Banff field for five days of full experience. Iggy Pop, The Chemical Brothers, George Ezra and Hu from Mongolia are the first names announced by the organizers.

Depeche Mode is returning to Romania for the third time, at the National Arena on July 26. The show is part of the “Memento Mori” tour and marks the 15th album in Depeche Mode’s career. The disc will be released in the spring on Columbia Records.

The 16th ARTmania festival will take place on July 28-30 at the Great Square in Sibiu. Confirmed bands include Porcupine Tree, Wardruna, Haken, TesseracT, Port Noir, Vulture Industries Emperor, SAMAEL and Pain Of Salvation.

Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2023 will take place from August 2 to 6 at the foot of the Rashnov fortress, in the heart of Transylvania.

The eighth UNTOLD festival will take place on August 3-6 in Cluj-Napoca. The band Imagine Dragons is the first headliner announced by the organizers.

From September 1 to 3, the “Lovers” festival will be held in the Mogoshoaya Palace.

On September 17, the British Louis Tomlinson will perform at the Romanian Arena. The event is part of the world tour to promote the album “Faith in the Future”.

On November 19, on the stage of Sălii Palatului Trooper performs a concert in a version accompanied by an orchestra of 50 people. The event is dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the founding of the band.

On November 3, Palatului Hall in Bucharest will host a symphonic rock concert as part of the show “Rock the Opera” directed by Friedemann Riehl, where fans will have the opportunity to listen to songs by bands such as Queen, Pink. Floyd, AC/DC, Deep Purple, U2 or The Scorpions. Special guests will be Giacomo Voli and drummer Franz Zapata.
