The National State Pension Chamber has announced that it will transfer the back value of social security rights to Romanian Post accounts with a delay of several days.

Thus, the pension payment calendar from the national pension system (state social insurance pensions, farmers, war veterans, widows and widowers, IOVR) will be as follows:

– at home – from January 6 to 17, 2023;

– at the cash desks of postal communication units – until January 19, 2023.

“Like last year, Romanian postal workers will work at maximum capacity to complete the pension distribution in a total interval of only eight working days, compared to the normal contract-based pension distribution interval of 1-15 days each month. This is a special situation that we face at the beginning of each year, given this period when workers in all fields of activity have the right to a weekend to spend with their families. We note that in other months of the year the Romanian Post did not violate its obligations according to the agreement concluded with the National Pension House, and we emphasize that last year the Romanian Post made every effort to distribute pensioners “money on time, as short as possible, and completed, according three days before the originally announced deadline, distribution of monetary rights,” said Valentyn Stefan, Director General of the Romanian Post Office.
