A Russian MiG-31K, capable of carrying Kinzhal missiles, caught fire on December 25 at the Machulyshchi airfield in Belarus, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
“The monitoring group has information that today, December 25, the engine of one of the MiG-31K aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces caught fire at the Machulyshchi airfield,” Belarusian Khayun reported in Telegram.
The fighter is out of order and will soon be unable to fly.
“What is this but a Christmas miracle?” — Belarusian Khayun jokes wryly.

The information appeared a few days after Belarus Weekely wrote that Russia is sending military equipment to Belarus, in particular the MiG-31K.
On December 18, Belarusian Khayun said that Russia had handed over at least 50 Ural military trucks to Belarus. Russia has also deployed additional military aircraft in Belarus, including those capable of carrying Kinzhal ballistic missiles.
