
A criminal organization involved in drug trafficking in Achaia was dismantled by the Patras Police Narcotics Directorate, arresting four people, and more than 12 kilograms of cannabis were found.
In particular, according to the police, after using information gathered by the drug enforcement prosecutor’s office, they identified one of the detainees as he approached a wooded area in the Patras region, where members of the criminal organization kept a drug storage room.
During a search of the drug storage site, the police found two kilograms of 370 grams of marijuana, 203 grams of cocaine and accurate electronic scales.
During subsequent searches in three more forest areas where the criminal organization kept drug warehouses, as well as in the homes of detainees, the police found, among other things, nine kilograms 916 grams of hemp, 270 grams of cocaine, 43.6 grams of heroin, eight accurate electronic scales, OK.
In addition, DEA police found an abandoned car in the Corinthia area used by a wanted member of a criminal organization to arrest.
When the car was searched with the help of the police dog “Ricky”, more than 10 grams of cocaine were found.
According to the police, the illegal financial benefit that members of a criminal organization could receive from drug trafficking is about 224,000 euros.
Those arrested will be brought before the Patras Attorney of First Instance, while the Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office continues to investigate the case.
