The break, which was made during the last two weeks, “can end at any time”, the spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Nataliya Gumenyuk, said on Sunday, reports Anadolu Agency. Russia is preparing for a “massive attack” on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, an official says.

“We understand that a mass attack is being prepared, which should take place in the next day…”, Nataliya Humenyuk, the spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, told Channel 24.

She added that the Ukrainian authorities are taking the necessary precautionary measures.

“For almost two weeks, the enemy did not launch missile strikes. And this pause can end at any moment,” she said, adding that the Ukrainian military is strengthening the protection of power plants and other critical infrastructure.

Humenyuk noted that Russia has strengthened its presence in the Black Sea.

“These are 21 ships, including four Kalibr missile carriers, a total of 24 missiles. There are also two submarine carriers, it’s difficult for us to detect missile launches, so aviation alarms need to be taken very seriously,” she said.
