The accident happened at the exit from Tirgu Giu towards Craiova, the vehicle of the Gorge County Ambulance Service (SAJ) was transporting a patient to Craiova.

The nurse is in a coma, she is picked up by a helicopter and taken to a hospital in Craiova. The 54-year-old paramedic is wounded, but conscious, he is pulled out of the car by the ISU Gorj evacuation team.

The 61-year-old patient was taken to Tirgu Jiu Hospital in a “quite critical” condition, according to statements made by SAJ Gorj manager Tiberiu Tetaru.
