District 1 Mayor Clotilde Armand reports that DNA has filed a criminal case against her, filed by PSD councilors, regarding the “Heating from the Sun” program, which involved the installation of photovoltaic panels and heat pumps in several blocks of the capital. He says he will return this project to the agenda of the city council.

  • “A new victory over USL advisers. After the PNL lost to me in court, now it’s PSD’s turn,” wrote Clotilde Armand on Facebook, adding a DNA document regarding the file’s secrecy.

The investigation was launched following a complaint by local PSD councilors and concerned the Solar Heating program to install photovoltaic panels and heat pumps on buildings.

  • “The PSD criminal complaint was filed in August 2022 when we were in the advanced stages of this project, but we needed a vote from the City Council to move to the next phase.
  • In October 2022, PSD and PNL councilors killed the entire program through several amendments voted together. They scaled it down to a simple pilot project for just 2 (two!) blocks, given that about 130 HOAs have agreed (already signed mandate contracts) to enter Solar Heating,” says Armand.

She says that she will return this project to the agenda of the city council, although it was rejected several times, even at the last meeting, and will file criminal complaints against local deputies who “intimidate her with all kinds of imaginary complaints.”
