
The four arrested were transferred to the three-member Court of Administrative Offenses in Thessaloniki for automatic trial. during yesterday’s police operation to evacuate the occupied buildingon Siatistis street, in the city center.
They were accused of disturbing the peace and seizing a public building. Due to the lack of witnesses, the trial was postponed until December 9, and their detention came automatically.
In front of Thessaloniki’s courts, people from the broader anti-authoritarian movement gathered early to support the four defendants (all men between the ages of 19 and 25).
The building belongs to the municipality of Thermi and was occupied in 2015. The occupation was known as “Mundo Nuevo”. Inside, the police found, among other things, hard hats, poles and suffocation masks.
