Elon Musk announced a new version of user authentication tokens on Twitter.
Twitter’s new owner said the platform will launch a new verification service next Friday, December 2nd. The new icons are expected to have different colors depending on the account type.
We apologize for the delay, we are tentatively launching Verified on Friday next week.
Gold check for companies, gray check for government, blue check for individuals (celebrity or not), and all verified accounts will be manually authenticated before verification is activated.
Painful, but necessary.

Specifically, Elon Musk stated that verified accounts will have a blue tick (tick) for users, a gray label for government accounts, and a gold label for companies.
He did not specify whether the gray mark will also apply to government agencies, while stressing that all verified accounts will be “manually certified” before receiving the appropriate mark.
It is noted that more than 400,000 Twitter accounts have a blue mark, which basically means that they are genuine accounts.
However, Mr. Tesla did not specify if the new verification service would be part of a premium service called Twitter Blue, for which he mentioned earlier this month that the fee would be $8 per month.
This particular service is expected to allow users to prioritize responses, reports, and search queries, which Musk emphasized is necessary to eliminate inappropriate content.
