
Officials of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) are inspecting public transport from the bases and depots of the Bucharest Transport Company on Wednesday morning, according to the first images, finding dirty vehicles and damaged seats, News reported. ro
“Today, from 4 o’clock in the morning, 14 authorized persons of the Bucharest-Ilfov structure carried out actions to check the activities of the STB. Means of public transport from several bases/depots were assessed,” ANPK representatives reported.
According to the first images transmitted during the inspection, ANPC inspectors found dirty vehicles, seats with damaged upholstery. Also, some metal elements are affected by rust and the floors are not washed, and the support handles are damaged.
“Cleaning 43 trams with just two people in three hours seems like something out of a detergent commercial,” commented ANPC President Horia Constantinescu.
ANPC is due to present the inspection findings within the day.
