
Football fans are waiting at the Constitution Square, where the matches of the World Cup in Qatar will be broadcast on a screen located inside the Christmas market, the capital’s mayor-general, Nikushor Dan, said on Sunday.
“The City Hall of the capital and Romanian television unite with fans of royal sports! We are waiting for all football fans at the Constitution Square to enjoy together the show of the World Cup in Qatar, which starts today and ends on December 18. The screen located inside the Christmas Fair will broadcast the Championship matches and locker room interviews,” Nikushor Dan said in a Facebook post.
The Christmas market, organized by the capital city hall on the Constitution Square, opened on Sunday and can be visited until December 26, Agerpres notes. The fair has several themed zones, including a zone for microbiologists, where they will be able to watch broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
The 32-team final tournament in Qatar will feature 64 matches across 8 stadiums and conclude on December 18 with the final at the Lusail Stadium.
