The Bucharest Municipality Christmas Fair is organized by the Capital City Hall through ARCUB – Bucharest Municipality Cultural Center and PROEDUS – Bucharest Educational and Sports Projects Center together with CREART – Bucharest Municipality Center for Creativity, Art and Tradition, news.ro notes.
Attractions at the Bucharest Christmas Market 2022
The fair will feature more than 70 wooden houses where visitors can choose from winter holiday gifts, toys, handicrafts, traditional souvenirs and food.
Throughout the fair, children will have areas dedicated to interactive activities and games, and Santa’s House promises to create a fairy-tale atmosphere where they will be met by elves, chat with Santa and have photos taken.
“The festive atmosphere on Constitution Square is complemented by a large Christmas tree. A skating rink over 30 meters long and 20 meters wide, a carousel and a panoramic wheel with a height of almost 40 meters will be installed on the territory of the Bucharest Christmas Fair,” the organizers report.
Visitors can warm up and enjoy winter treats in the food truck area.
Concerts at the Bucharest Christmas Market 2022
On the stage located in front of the Palace of the Parliament, the choirs of the National Children’s Palace and the Comic Opera for Children, artists and vocal groups from places of worship and institutions that promote traditional Romanian creativity will perform.
In addition to carols and traditional songs, traditions and customs performed by folklore ensembles from different regions of the country will also be presented here.
The artistic program calendar includes the following periods: November 30 – December 4, December 6, December 9 – 11, December 16 – 18 and December 23 – 26, 2022.

Traffic changes due to Bucharest Christmas Market 2022
For the smooth conduct of the event, traffic will be restricted on lane 1 of the ring section of Constitution Square in the period from November 20 to December 26, 2022.
Between November 19 and December 27, three temporary pedestrian crossings will be placed in the Constitution Square area: two pedestrian crossings on the side of Calea 13 Septembrie, in the area of the Ministry of the Environment and one pedestrian crossing on the side of Boulevard Unirii, st. from the Ministry of Finance.
