
A range of cod meatballs has been withdrawn from Lidl stores due to suspected Listeria Monocytogenes contamination, the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) has announced, News.ro reports. Customers must not consume this product, it can be returned for value.
According to the ANSVSA notice, the manufacturer Jeka Fish is preventively recalling the product “Sødergaarden Cod Meatballs, Scandinavian 340g” (barcode 20295271) with expiration dates of 15/09/2022 and 25/11/2022 due to suspected Listeria contamination. Monocytogenic bacteria. Customers who purchased this product past the stated expiration date are requested not to consume it.
The product can be returned to any Lidl store and its cost will be refunded without presenting a tax receipt.
Due to consumer safety concerns, Lidl Romania has withdrawn the product from sale. This recall applies exclusively to the product “Sødergaarden cod, meatballs in the Scandinavian style 340 g (bar code 20295271), expiration date until 15.09.2022 and 25.11.2022. This recall does not apply to other products sold by Lidl Romania, including other products from the Sødergaarden range.
